That was very fun to watch! Key points that really stood out to me:

"It's like the most important thing about them (kids) is their date of manufacture."
Totally agree, so many successful alternative type schools integrate kids, with the more experienced kids helping those who are just starting out, regardless of age. While typical public schools group kids by age & won't even think about advancing kids until they hit a certain age and then its all or nothing. For example, DD is great in math & reading. She's doing 6th grade math right now and reads anything I put in front of her. But if she were still in public school, they wouldn't advance her in ANY of her classes unless she could be advanced in ALL of them. I don't get that at all.

"It's increasingly about conformity and its about standardization." Oh ditto, making square (or octogonal, triangular & figure 8) pegs fit into round holes, even if you have to force them & file them off.
