Grilled Cheese (or Ham & Cheese) For a Crowd

From my private school kitchen job....

Or How to make 65 to 100 hot sandwiches at one time so that lunch is on time :D

2 pieces of bread per sandwich
1 slice cheese per sandwich
(1 slice ham per sandwich option)
Butter
Large baking sheets

This is going to take longer to type than it does to make the sandwiches

Butter a slice of bread on one side. Place butter-side down on baking sheet. Place cheese on bread. (Add 1 slice ham if making grilled ham & cheese.) Place top piece of bread on cheese. Butter the top of the bread.

Repeat until you have made one sandwich for everyone.

Bake at 350. After 15 minutes check to see if the sandwiches are ready to be turned. Keep checking. When golden brown, flip them over and continue baking 10-15 minutes until done

Great idea! I would have never considered making grilled cheese for a crowd, having not thought of baking it rather than frying. Thanks :)
