Hey free, check this out! (Fireless cooking info)

And while you are at it, get that rocket stove built! ;) It's better than sliced bread (but not as awesome as your dutch oven).

Many, many years ago, when I was in the girl guides we used "hay boxes" to cook some our meals when camping.
These boxes were also used for cooking & keeping food hot on huge game shoots on large estates in the 19th & 20th centuries.
I have transported large pots of stew hundreds of miles to a country holiday home using the same method but with those polystyrene beads ( used in bean bags) inside a wooden packing crate. After a 7/8 hour winter's journey it was great to have a piping hot meal ready to eat on arrival.

Another major advantage with this method is that it works well even if you have a power cut due to bad weather etc. You only need a small stove for the initial heating of the stew.

Don't have time to look at all this now, so I'll have to check it all out later.

Rocket stove is definitely on the list, as I hope to use it to boil maple syrup. I have 48 pine tree trunks that I've been saving for this, from last years xmas trees that the goats ate. It would be fun for this fireless cooker. Gotta do it!
