this is a write up on my home cured bacon ATTEMPT. i have no idea how it will go.

BLT with Home Cured Bacon , Fresh Lettuce and tomatoes , Home made bread from fresh milled flour , Homemade Mayo with fresh eggs .

What y'all think of this ?

That is awesome, thank you for sharing,
I use 1/4 cup Salt , 1/4 cup Brown Sugar , 1/4 Real Maple Syrup ( This is for a 3-4 pound slab )
I rub it in , put in the bag for 7-10 days turning it over daily, after ya take it out rince and soak in clean water for an hour or two , dry it ( patting it down ) Hang in the smokehouse for about 8 Hours and ENJOY!!!

we cut the pork belly in sections small enough to fit in 1 gallon freezer bags and then rubbed them down as directed. the directions say they need to cure for a week in the fridge. i will likely flip them daily. stay tuned to see how it comes out.
