Would making flavored vodka be the same as making extract? I can't/won't have "natural flavor" in my food/drink, but some times I would like a replacement for White Claw. I have a soda stream for the bubbly part. Has anyone tried or have suggestions?

From what I have read the process is very much the same BUT the time to steep the flavor components is only a few days and the finished product has a much shorter shelf life than extracts. Maybe a month or two tops unless you freeze then you might gain a couple but nothing close to a year or anything. Basically make what you can use in a month, use and make fresh after it is gone.
