The law in nebraska, to start homeschooling says you need to "apply" or send in the forms before August 1st or 30 days prior to starting to homeschool.

So do I need to keep sending my kids to school for 30 days, or can I just pull them out and say we're waiting to start school in 30 days? (i would obviously start right away with lessons and learning)

My guess would be that they mean to keep them in public schools for 30 days. However, with it being a holiday season and with January starting a new semester, you could probably get away with not putting them back until you get approval.
