Absolutely. I can buy a whole bag full of spice for less than the price of a tiny little jar at the grocer. And the spices at my NLC are very fresh. No comparison.

What's NLC?
I get most of my spices from Azure Standard or Amazon.

I've never tried it on fresh pork, but I bet it would. But I'm guessing you'd have to add more of the spices. I have a Jimmy Dean sausage copycat recipe that I'll post, too.
