Howdy from East Central Texas

Or am I West East Texas? I get confused, as I seem to be close to both!

Household consists of hubby and myself, 3 cats and 15 chickens. We are both retired, and on a fixed income.
We garden, and I love to can our harvests, and about anything else I can put my hands on. I also can as much venison as our neighbor ranchers supply us with. We have 4 grown children, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchid. Sadly, not a one lives near us. My hubby is a native Texan, and I am a transplant from Michigan.
Love it here in Texas. Love the people I have met, and other than the almost unbearable heat in the summer,
