I used the egg bread recipe and substituted 1 cup of whole wheat flour for the bread flour and it came out beautifully! I'm so excited!!! :clap

Thank you everyone for the breadmaking threads and tips!

Can you tell I'm excited? :D

We need "smell-a-vision" :D :D That looks GREAT..... but there is ONE thing wrong with it......you haven't sliced a hunk off so you can TASTE it!! :lol: :lol:

My dh would tell you that you are supposed to cut off the heels while the bread is still hot, put butter and honey on them... and devour them IMMEDIATELY! :lol:

I like to substitute a cup of rye sometimes, too.

feels good to make something like a delish loaf of bread and it makes the house smell great!!

That bread looks great.

I bet it taste as good as it looks too. Did it disappear before it got cold. I always have to bake 2 loaves. One to eat hot and one to have for the week. LOL
