I planted Earlene's Green Cotton. I ordered the seeds so long ago, that I forgot where I got them. I have a seed addiction..... But they are coming up and I can't wait to see what I get. I planted regular cotton years ago when my kids were little. Then I made them "chop cotton" all summer with a hoe. They complained bitterly about the heat, weeds, heat, hard work and did I mention heat? But they got so excited when the plants bloomed, made bolls and burst open to reveal the snowy white cotton inside. They took the cotton bolls to school for show and tell.
So, I now have green cotton coming up and I will repeat the experience with my grand daughter. I put a hoe in her hands last week end and she could barely lift it and swing it down to cut a weed in half. She wants me to make her a T-shirt LOL.
