Moving Tips - Do it yourself or hire an eco friendly company.
Tip 1 - Use recycled boxes. There are a number of companies that offer recycled boxes in Austin including Austin Moving Forward, Compass Van Lines and Eco Box
You can also find used boxes at your local grocery store, or liquor store. Liquor store boxes are a great size for dishes and fragile items.
Tip 2 - Plan ahead! The more you plan ahead the better and smoother your move will be.
Tip 3 - Pick a "slow" weekend. Nothing going on this weekend? Well, hey buddy, come help me move!
Tip 4 - Buy a case of beer, but remember NO DRINKING TILL THE JOB IS DONE! Have beer and pizza waiting at your new place for AFTER you unload!
Tip 5 - No matter how hard your friends try to convince you, DO NOT throw a party at your old place... you will only loose your deposit and have to clean up all over again!
