MAPLE SPILES REALLY NEED SOME ASAP

I am currently looking at 20 maple trees in my back yard that I never thought about taping until 10 minutes ago. OS now I need to find some spiles and hooks. I am going to us water jugs to catch the sap. Please help me out. Thanks Don

I just cut some elderberry branches to make my own taps. The pith is really soft and you can poke it out with a skewer. Hope to tap tomorrow, or by Saturday at the latest. You will need to use a screw or a hook for your jugs, though, as the elderberry branch won't be strong enough.
