Mealworm farming for chickens...is it worth it?

I started raising mealworms about a month ago for my chickens. I got some worms off an ebay seller that weren't treated with anything. Over half of them have transitioned from pupa to beetle, and I've separated the eggs and I'm waiting for them to hatch. Theres a few hundred beetles, so they should lay 20,000+ eggs. I'll report back when the eggs hatch.

Some of the eggs finally hatched. It took about 2 months to go from old worms to new worms. Theres got to be a few thousand little worms, and I'm sure there's a ton of eggs that haven't hatched yet.
