This is a project that I was making for an Uncle of mine for his Christmas gift but as you can see it's not finished yet. I'm actually making it without a pattern just got a pic in my head of how I want and expect it to look when I'm finally able to finish it.
I think with me undertaking this kind of project it's teaching me how to be patient and to take my time.

That is really neat! I like it :) My hobby is making quilts, 100% by hand. Talk about learning to be patient! lol

I also crochet. That is so relaxing and helps me ease up my stress level but only when the project I'm working on decides it wants to cooperate. LOL

FEM I think I have a thread on it here somewhere…. I'll see if and bump it up with pics from my newest one.

Knitting is fun! I learned to when I was a child, but I haven't knitted anything in many years now. I thought of taking up the hobby again, as knitting is HUGELY popular here (in Ireland) and wool is so much easier to find than fabric for quilting, but I guess I'm hooked on sewing.

These are all great "winter" projects -- at least that's when I used to get most of them worked. Notice I say "used to". Don't do much of any of it now. Should but, has slipped out of my focus of something to do. Hope that I will take back to sewing more this winter. Must have enough material to make clothes for several families! Sometimes I whip up some things to take with me to festivals along with goat soaps. Depends on my mood.

Used to do a LOT of needlepoint and clothes for "everyone". My kids & I wore custom clothes for years. Proms & weddings were always special sewing events.

I haven't done any plastic canvas for years! But, it's something I enjoy. A friend has a whole Christmas "village". I think someone did it for her. I would love to either find the pattern(s), or just copy it.

I've been learning how to crochet. I'm making afghans for everyone for Christmas. I'm done 2, started on #3, and will have one more to do after that. I don't have as much time now as I did earlier in the year.
