It is peaceful except for the mosquitoes being a pain today. If I had a horse I would ride it through the woods- that is if I knew how to ride and didn't have that much weight on me.
More than likely I won't post any more pics in this thread until Autumn.
Right now I've got a darn cat that wants me to brush her.

Nothing more calming than the woods, and all that lies therein. This is what I love most of all about this way of life--the wilderness.

Unless you are walking through the woods with someone who is being very very loud. Sure, there's been a bear that was spotted near this area and yes, I wouldn't want to encounter a bear but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the walk either.

Or like me the other day, walking along until someone fired a gun nearby! lol We didn't see the shooter, who was unaware of our presence, so we turned around and got out of there quick! It was a lovely walk though.

Here people are in the woods hunting all the time. There are a lot of wild pigs, deer, bobcat, bear, and of course raccoons, opossums in the woods. You hear shooting all the time. We posted our land because people we didn't know would come and fish in our ponds. They don't even knock on the door to tell us they are here. My grandson (8) will go down and talk to strangers because he thinks since they are in our place they must be alright! I can't convince him to stay away and tell us people are here. We finally put up posted signs and they tore one down.
