I was raised in Houston from 3rd grade to high school. I graduated from Belaire back in 19?? when the dinosaurs roamed....... LOL We lived off South Main and Buffalo Speedway. What part of Houston are you in?

Are you on a regular city lot or do you have a bit of land? You can raise a LOT of food, even in a small space. Rabbits make a good small homestead source of meat, they don't make noise and alert the neighbors. LOL

We are in a Suburb outside of Houston on a larger city lot. The people a few houses down have had chickens for years but we are going to get more ducks for eggs because they are quieter and I do alot of baking. They arent too strict here but we love our neighbors. I used to raise rabbits from the time I was 9-17 years old so Id know what to do but we couldnt eat them. I think it might traumatize my ID son also :/ Have you ever heard a rabbit scream? My son would probably hate me. He holds his guinea pig 24/7 except when hes asleep.
