We moved to the country in May. We have a garden, canned 100 jars, bought 11 little baby chickies, have woods and pasture, an herb garden, tutored for food this summer, plan on getting milking goats, and a wood stove.

Welcome to SS from northeast Texas. How many acres do you have? It sounds like you had a great garden! We moved 1 1/2 years ago and have been working on our garden soil. It is pure sand and it is going to take a LOT of compost and wood chips! My guess would be that you have some really good soil. What kind of chickens do you have? Most of us here have a chicken addiction too. Just wait until you start getting eggs!!! Post pictures, we love lots of pictures!!
