I found some nice curtain valance the other day that are white cotton with embroidery at the bottom. A very nice find the problem is they are very faded not mildewed just kindly yellowish. Is there a home way to make them white again? It seems like i read somewhere that i could boil them in something but i cant find the info anywhere.

Denture tabs are supposed to be good for that. They whiten the linen or cloth the you rinse them and hang to dry. I saw it on how clean is your house on BBC network!

A little vinegar in the wash will help as well. Hang them to dry. DONT put them in the dryer, it only sets in the discoloration. If they are not white enough, another wash..
I didnt know about the denture tabs. Hmm, I might have to give that one a try! ;)
