I know what I spent on heirloom seeds this year (no where near this much!), but I'm new to vegetable gardening. This guy is running commercials on tv now. Rip off?

That's funny I just saw that commercial on tv. They are large quantities but it's still way over priced.

Companies that sell seeds like this are playing on the fears of people who have never gardened before. People buy these seeds with the idea that if things get tough, they'll just grow them a garden and feed their family. They have no idea of what is involved, especially with growing an acre sized garden.

That's what I thought. I know I probably bought enough seeds this year for an acre - and I paid $29.00.
