Pickled egg rescue ????

So, two days ago, I made some pickled quail eggs. this is the second time I have done so, and this time, I wanted to make a bit more of a sweet pickled egg.

Well, DS and I were impatient, so we cracked open the jar. It had absolutely no vinegar=pickle taste at all. They just tasted like a sweet egg. so, I dumped out 1/2 of the brine, and added vinegar and dill.

Will this do it,m or is this batch destined to be sweet and nothing else?
