Hi All, will pigs eat Asian pears?
I've got a bunch rotting on the ground and the chickens won't eat them. I've been dehydrating good ones, and made pear butter, but I have more than I can use. I'm looking for pig farmers in my area, but thought I'd ask here first.

I think pigs will eat pretty much anything. Mine doesn't like raw broccoli or corn husks, but other than that she eats... Like a pig! So yeah, I would totally go for it lol

Pigs love anything sweet tasting. So fruit for them is a big treat. I'm not familiar with Asian pears, so I don't know how they taste, but they look nice and if they are sweet like regular pears, they should definitely go down well with the pigs.

They are harder and not as juicy as a Bartlett pear, but they still have a good flavor. They're actually quite crunchy. They grow very well here, but our trees have never (?) been pruned and are very very tall, so I have to wait for them to drop. We will be pruning this winter.
