Last night, DH, DS and I went to Cracker Barrel for supper (yeah for me). I had their Country Fried Steak. It is so tender and tasty. We all love it, but I want to make it at home.

So, do tell...

I don't have a recipe for it per say. this is how we do it though. Brown cube steak, cubed deer or what ever your cut of choice is in a large iron skillet, in the same skillet put the pieces in the oven and slow cook it till tender. take it out drain it, flour both sides, drench in beaten egg, then dredge it through seasoned flour on both sides and fry it till gold brown put it on a cooling rack not towels or plates or the batter will get soggy. its GOOOOOOOOD :p
