I bought some seeds and want to plant an experimental crop around the perimeter of my front yard fence - I have about 80 ft, so I figured about 80 plants can reasonably fit. I live in Vancouver, BC, so the weather is similar to that of Seattle. My front yard is in full sun for most of the day during the summer.

I was originally thinking of starting them indoors, but wondering if I should go ahead and sow directly in the ground.

Anyway, I'm looking for any planting advice.

Thanks for reminding me. I want to plant some this year too. I have never planted them befor. I plan on just tossing them in the ground. Although I might start some in pots too.

I think they just need to be sown directly. I also just read that when harvesting, you need to wash it several times to remove the saponins before eating.

My son likes quinoa. Looks like I can plant the seed I got from Misfits Market subscription box. 😲 If it really grows like Lambsquarters, I'll have a bumper crop! 😅
