Im doing some research on how to collect rainwater and use it for drinking. I know most people collect rainwater in drums and supplement their gardens and lawns with it and it saves alot of money. I have the ideal place to can accomodate a system, but I am interested in storing and filtering rain water for potable use. I found a few Websites that im currently researching. If anybody has any information on this and have been successful I would love to hear from you. Some of the sites that I am currently looking at are:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-9974362-54.html (Really informative site with prices for units)
http://www.metaefficient.com/rain-water-harvesting/producing-drinking-water-from-rain-water.html
http://www.rainfilters.com/?tag=mncol;txt
http://www.rainwatermanagement.com/design.html
My ideal system would be to have a solar paneled roof for my electric that will run my rain catchment/ filteration system.
I feel like im a bit of a coot but i find this stuff fascinating!!
