Redbud Jelly

It is that time of year when the Redbuds bloom , It's time to make the Redbud Jelly and Hunt for those elusive Morrell Mushrooms.

2-1/4 cups of RedBuds
Same amount of fresh water ( Not Tap )
2Tbsp of fresh lemon juice
3 Tbsp of Pectin
2 Cups of Sugar
Easy to make and amazing taste ( Hard to describe)

Redbuds can also be eaten as is, like tossed on a salad.

Supposedly the little peas that the flowers make are also edible.

I love morels. There was a good place to pick them at my middle/high school by the river. I won't try out on public land here. That's how you get shot by commercial mushroom hunters.
