I saw that early this a.m. that all family was called in. Then passed. I'm very sad for the country. There won't be another queen for several generations at this point. She was amazing as a monarch and a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

I knew she hadn't been doing well. It didn't help when Philip died last year after such a long marriage. That takes a toll.

I am a US citizen but as a very small child I grew up for a time in Australia, which is a Common Wealth country and recognizes her sovereignty so it hits me different than most people I know. I went from recognizing a queen to having a president.
