My cousin is getting married, in a few days now. She will soon have two young step daughters.
I decided as a wedding gift to make them matching aprons.

Here are the two I have done so far... I used an Aunt Martha iron on design.
I used a combination of embroidery and applique on the designs.

I am thinking of going over the light blue flowers with a shade or two darker blue floss.
The blue is not showing up very well, though the thread matches the blue in the fabric.

:th swoon!

I have some of those iron on prints for red work.
But I like that applique better :)

I have a pattern...

McCall's MP237 view C

I improvise on it a bit here and there. I added a contrasting bib, not in the pattern. And I used a simple front pocket, rather than the 5 or 6 pockets in the pattern.
