Weird looking egg......LOL

A hen was in nest box laying as I was doing chores. She was almost done, in a few I stopped back to get her egg, since I was already there. Here's what I found......

Looks like she had some extra shell to expel. Old hen, been laying some double yokers of late -- they generally look like 2 eggs together, obvious odd shape in center. Guess she planned that for here and didn't finish.

Just had to share this. The extra was a little soft at first, except at attached end. In about 1/2 hr, all was firming.

Very strange! I've had some weird one - weirdest I guess was a fully formed egg - inside another BIG egg!

FEM, you're lucky! I've wanted to see one of those for a long time now. Weirdest I've had from my flock was lash eggs and the odd "fart egg"

What are lash eggs?

I got one a few months ago that was only about the size of my thumb nail!
