What are you doing for Memorial Day?

I'm thinking of packing a picnic lunch and having a picnic in the back yard. Not going anywhere because I think the roads will be crazy but want to do something.

DH wants to hit the sidewalk sale at Harbor Freight...

Going to care for the horses in the morning, then go to work, then come home. Not really planning on doing much of anything since hubby isn't feeling the greatest. Plus, it's supposed to be hot.

Going to Mom and Dads on Sunday to hit the lake and swim, boat etc. So sunday is my fun day, Monday will be a regular old day with swimming in the pool with kiddo home from school.

DS is in a youth organization Young Marines. The last few evenings have been spent decorating veteran's grave sites. Tomorrow is a huge event at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Monday is a parade.

MASSIVE party at my aunts house every year. Kind of a family reunion type thingy for Memorial Day. Almost every man on my mothers side of the family has served in the military, so I get to hug a bunch of vets and serve them barbecue Nothing better in the world!!!!!! I love ths holiday

Lucky you! I always thank any vets I see, as well as any active service people. I hate that people who don't support the war take it out on the military. They're just doing their job, and don't get the support they should, IMO.

yea Tony works monday also. his job they work thru holidays like normal. if you have vacation days you use them lol

he has missed many a-holiday cause of work...I hear you on this one.
