I was wondering what would happen to buckets of dry rice, beans and oats, corn meal, that were properly sealed, if they froze and stayed froze for 3 or 4 months. Would it ruin the food? Anybody know?

and

What about canned food, canned in metal, like from the store. Would that ruin?

The grains would be fine, probably even more desirable frozen than not. The canned goods could crack, although I've really only found this out by accident with my homemade canned goods in glass jars.

The metal cans can explode or the seals broken when exposed to excessive cold. It happened to me. A case of canned beans lost their liquid when they freezed, sealed broke and liquid leaked out.
With the dry foods, you have to be careful that no condensation occurred, if it did then they can get mold.
