How much land are you talking about? A subdivision lot could foreseeably hold rabbits, chickens, quail, and perhaps a pig or goat. Meat chickens in a subdivison lot--would have to be done in small batches, as the odour would put off the neighbours, --and many ppl have potbellied pigs, so I cant see why a feeder pig would be much different--just clean up after it consistently.

Turkeys? Noisy, though. But so are goats. I love the noise. Neighbors might not. (Too bad, I'm zoned! :tongue )

Heck, I could live off the neighborhood squirrel. Free range diner! LOL

Ducks, chickens and quail would be my choice. Rabbits are handy (grandma raised them to feed 8 kids), but I have been bitten by rabbits. My brother lost a finger tip to a big buck. Ducks, even at their worst, are not able to remove an appendage.

Aside from those listed, also pheasant and guinea, although guineas are terribly loud. How much land is a 'little' land?

What you listed seems fine....but the thread is too vague.

You must consider zoning also. Could you even have a cow? Or a goat? etc. etc.......???
