We live in Ohio, halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. Friday evening we were coming back from BIL's house in Massillon, top down, just cruising west on Rt 30.
I noticed this very bright strange shaped thing in the sky off to the southwest. At first glance it appears to be "T" shaped. Whatever it is, it is in an orbit that keeps it pretty much in time with the moon. In other words, it drops out of sight as the moon is coming up. Saw it again last evening, same place same intensity. I tried to check it out with my hunting binoculars, but they aren't strong enough to get a good look at it. At first I thought maybe it was the space station, but after checking, the space station makes several orbits a day........this thing appears to be on a 24 hour synchronous orbit.
I cant find anything online.....
ANY IDEAS????

Check out the southwestern sky this evening and see if you can see it..........It might be a little higher in the sky for you...... or it may even be to the EAST for you... :idunno

I'll try remember to go out and look. (its a busy time in this house)

We have some tree's that hide the horizon on the west and east side of our property, so if its very low I won't see it.

The ISS makes quite a few orbits every day.........whatever this is, stays in the same location, and seems to be in a 24 hour orbit....
