Where To Find Fireplace Screening?

I have searched online with no success.
What we want is the heavy duty mesh screen to construct a free standing fireplace spark screen. We have a welder who will make to our design and specifications, but he has no sources for the screen.
We do not want the hanging curtain type.
Our opening is over sized and no manufactured pre-made screen is large enough. To special order one the size we need would cost $$$$.

So does anyone know a manufacturer of the screening? It may be the fireplace screening mesh is called something else, a term that I don't know so I can't look it up.

I typed in fireplace replacement mesh...and hit tons but don't know what you actually need.....

could you call a local fireplace/stove type store and ask them to order replacement mesh?

That is the replacement for the curtain, not my needs.
My screen would not be rolled but heavy gauge flat.
Also I need 60" high x 72" wide. I will have panels welded so there are 3 - 5 panels lengthwise. Basically need the height.

I will have to spend some time looking at this site. I do want to see the fire through the screen, block sparks not the view.

On top of all that, I was thinking of some proto types for a show in 2010 in Lancaster.

Sure would be nice to make something cool just over cost that shined like a diamond....

I don't know any artist looking to add new product lines, willing to work the samples at just above cost just to put it out there.

Just trying to track down the screen component.

Quit teasing me with copper ideas; my absolute all time favorite metal.
I need to do this cheap, lol!
