This am my sil gave me a call. She was out at a garage sale and came across canning jars. She asked me if I wanted them. I said yes of course. I asked how many and how much. The lady had 4 lg boxes and wanted 5 bucks a box. I was very excited and asked if she could get them all. Turned out to be 48 pt and 12 qt jars all in fantastic shape. Some are types I have never seen before. The lady said they were her mom's old jars. Some have a large lip around the neck, just under the threads. There are Knox, Atlas, Mason and Kerr. Many of the pints have that neat square shape with the rounded corners. Definitely keepers.

:weee I am soooooo excited. :weee

:woot Score!!! I would say I am jealous, but I can't in good conscious, because I put the word out far and wide and now I, too, have scored big in the canning jar department. Way to go! Keep puttin' the word out, people are starting their spring cleaning!

Excellent score!!! I simply love the square-shouldered jars...they just seem more sturdy or something.

:thumbsup
