You cannot beat the taste of home grown tomatoes

We have been growing tomatoes for 20 odd years and every year we cannot wait for our crop to start producing so we can stop buying those supermarket ones. Luckily here in Cyprus we are now starting to get our first ones

I have my fingers crossed that I have ripe tomatoes this weekend. Can't wait for that first tomato sandwich!

I refuse to buy grocery store tomatoes. They are horrible, not to mention expensive. Waste of money.

Beautiful garden--I'd be looking forward to enjoying those tomatoes as well!

Ditto that, we won't have tomatoes until early August--and those will be the cherry variety. The big ones and the romas will start to ripen later in August and through into September.
