I was looking to see if you had posted the color of the rabbit or not? A wild rabbit is usually brown/gray, but there are domestic rabbits called sanjuans that are bred to resembled wild rabbits and are raised to train rabbit dogs.
No, JC's white with dark smoky grey splotches across her back-another reason I had thought she was someones pet.
I can't tell for sure, but we 'think' some of the babies may be brownish-so it's possible she may have mated with a wild rabbit. Which then tells me she's been on the loose for atleast a few weeks. And if so, that would mean someone let her go.
I do know there were some loose rabbits (someone had let a few pets go & well...nature happens ) about a mile away-most are brownish, but some were of other coloring too. Is it possible she may be from them? Do they travel that far? Don't they usually stay together in groups?
