You can do it yourself. Either rent a sand blaster or sand it. bondo any holes. If there is rust sand of grind it off. You really only have to loosen all the loose debris and topcoat. Bare metal is better but too much work. There are plenty of resources online to give you a more indepth view. I have a 67 ford f100 I am painting. Like said above prep is the largest part. And isn't this SufficientSelf.com. Keep those paint hustlers out of your pockets!

You can rent or puchase a sprayer that hooks up to a compressor. I suggest practicing on a scrap piece of something. It can be hard to get a handle but is not impossible. Note: usually have to use paint thinner mixed in paint for sprayer.

If that is not the route you want got get some John Deere tractor paint and roll and brush it on. This type of paint dries more even and imagine you could be farm pimping your ride!
