Has anyone ever heard or used a system that uses a generator (solar, wind, water, etc) to make electric and the extra goes to make hydogen. and then when needed the hydrogen is reversed to make electric. It sounds a bit better than having to buy batteries.

I'm not going to be the last person to say this on this forum for sure, but at least I think I'm the first! :D

From what I've read, every time you take one form of energy and convert it into another you loose energy in the process. For example, I heard 4 experts discussing hydrogyn cars (that convert hydrogyn to electricity) vs. plug in electric, and all of the experts said electric was the way to go because of all the energy lost during the conversion to and from hydrogen to electricity.

I can only thing of one thing. Isn't a battery a chemical reaction so some energy is lost? correct me if i'm wrong but your vehicle has a battery and as we all know it dies and looses it charge after a while.
