Nope.

Grew up over in Umatilla Oregon at about 500 feet and just off the Columbia River. So know dry weather and watermelons pretty well.

Now live at 721 feet on the western foot of Mt Rainier and currently so done with rain. 3 inches in 24 hours. Waded out to feed chickens today.

Anyone else live in high desert at 4300' altitude?
Nope. My sister does, and it sounds very, very different from where I am. I'm at 1,000 feet and average humidity is like 70%. She is between 4,500 - 5,500 and average humidity is like 10%. I didn't realize her city has such a range in elevation until I checked just now.

Your sister's place sounds very much like mine. Where does she live?
