I just concluded my morning devotions and had a hard time making it through Romans and I Corinthians....Paul's writing style is hard for me to follow. Anyone else have this problem with some of the authors in the Bible? It has more to do with wording and the turn of phrase than the actual content, for me.

Pretty much the entire old testament for me! Lol. I use a plain English translation to help me with the King James version.

To me, Paul just seems to talk in circles, saying the same thing but in a different way, over and over. I think I really like the writing style of Luke, Peter, David, and Solomon, but Paul makes my head swim. Maybe a former tent maker isn't the most eloquent of people... :p

Does anyone have a list of the former professions of the Apostles? I read it somewhere once before and was amazed at the diversity of those men Jesus called into service.

I find alot of the prophecies difficult to decipher. The rest is pretty much easy for me though. I love just about the first half of the OT.

I'm reading Numbers right now. It's not hard to read, but I'll be glad when I'm done it! There are parts of the Bible that I have trouble understanding. But then, I'll read it again and it's like I had blinders removed. As I grow more in the Lord, the easier it is to understand it. Plus, He reveals things to me as I need them.
