I grew up in Baytown, TX . There is a "famous" tree standing on a main road in the middle of the original part of town. As a teenager, I couldn't tell you how many times I drove around that tree on a Friday/Saturday nights. It was at the end of the 'strip' where a lot of us kids drove up and down countless times on the weekends. Fond memory, but now seems kind of silly.

I love when they build roads around trees. There is a t-junction near here, on the way to Kilkenny city, where the minor road meets the big road, the road forks around a tree, close to the junction. In Castletownsend, Co Cork, there is a tree growing in the middle of the main road too…

The one is at the Nature Center, and they know it's there. I've heard there's another one, but have never seen it. The other was at Hawk Mountain, so it's known about as well.
