Another new baby. Dh brought him home from work. A co worker found it. Ds is thrilled with his new friend. Not much else new around here. Busy moving birds from brooder to grow out pens and getting ready to process 5 of my leghorn roos. The weather is finally cooling off so hopefully I can get more done outside. I just can't work in the heat like I used too.

We have water run in the barn! :weee Chores just got easier. Next is to get electric installed and start moving critters in. Our goats moved in a couple months ago and are loving it. So much to do around here. We need to stock up on hay. I am still waiting on the green house hubby promised me. I have 5 roosters I need to put in the freezer just waiting on time and good weather. The rabbits are not cooperating with our breeding plan. The buck is ready but the girls are playing hard to get. Hoping they will do better this time. They both had a litter the 1st of July but they all died due to neglect from the mammas. I have one nubian doe I need to start milking, one is bred due in February and one we will breed in a couple months, just waiting for her to grow some more. Add to all this homeschooling DS, soccer and scouts. Makes for busy times around here.

Be honest, now. I'll bet when you married you never thought you could get so excited over having running water in the barn. Oh, how our priorities change as we seek self-reliance and sufficiency!

So true, we spent over 26 years moving where the army told us. We have been here for five years now. That is a record for us having never stayed in one place for more than three years. This is a whole new life style and I love having the animals and planting things that we will be here to see grow. We don't plan on ever moving again.

Has it really been a year since I last posted here? The squirrel turned out to be female. We move her outside a few months back. We have also had two more sets of goat babies since this last picture and our rabbits have finally started getting things right.
