Very good help: making a stove-pipe water heater

This video shows a guy working alone to bend the long lengths of copper pipe used for a stove-pipe water heater. Use the heat going up the pipe, from your wood stove or cookstove, to heat the water you need for some purpose in your home.

It would be easier, I think, to do this with the help of another person. But you might not have that, plus if you know this guy's pointers, it'll be that much easier if you do have another person's assistance.

Excellent video! I was actually thinking of kinda doing something similar, but to use the hot water to circulate the heat from our stove throughout the house. Basically a combo of his design with some radiant hot water heaters / vents in other rooms.

Sure. It was the coiling method that I thought was useful to spread around. The water that's heated can be used in a variety of ways.

We've done that before to make coils for condensing and coils for wood fired hot tubs. good info Thanks Joel!
