shiitakes I grew on recycled sawdust bricks from an organic mushroom farm near me.

OK, you need to post some info on how you grew them.

Okay so we picked up the bricks from Far West Fungi in CA and then my mycology friend told me to soak the bricks in a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 10 parts water. This obviously moisturized the bricks and gave them oxygen. Then I laid out a thick layer of wood chips just over regular (kind of crappy) soil and then put cardboard on top then laid the soaked bricks on there and then made a sort of tent over them. I used a mesh-like cover and then just watered them every day or so and they grew.
