Might be a bit to much to ask but also might start a interesting conversation.

I inventoried my Bugout Bag which stays in the back seat of my pickup. My 4 person tent and both my wife's and my, insulated hiking boots, 0 degree sleeping bags are by the front door. My wife also has a stocked Bugout Bag but more with "girly" things...

The idea is if SHTF and we had to Bugout we would like to carry as little as possible to be able to survive in the woods for 5 days while we set up camp and worked on a constant food supply. We already know exactly in the woods where we are going. It has a good creek and springs for water. Is on top of a high hill with a good view in most all directions.

Tell me what you think I'm missing or what I really don't need. And what's in your Bugout Bag?

I have a gun safe. It's full. We have plans, if we ever couldn't stay here, to go to a place where we won't need much. Our friends have the ability to basically shut down their section of town.... Yay heavy equipment. And between the group of us we have many, many weapons to defend ourselves. So, I don't have one either. It is good to see what you have. I don't expect, being where I am, that I would ever not have notice for needing to leave.

Just one??? o_O

I'm not going anywhere! We're too old, lol.

On the other hand - Because DH is diabetic and drives a lot in his job I make him carry a 'survival' bag in his car. He keeps snacks and water (yuck on water that's been in a hot car - but better than nothing if you need it) and a few necessities like a flashlight, compass, walking shoes/socks and his trusty swiss army knife. He's also armed.

Isn't everyone in Texas armed anyway? Lol

I figure, we won't get a huge influx of people from any major cities because who the heck wants to go north and struggle through 5 months of winter? Only a certain type of person can survive NH winter if society breaks down. We just happen to be that type!

Ya'd think they wouldn't want to come and try to survive our summers either, lol. But, I'm sure we'd be right in the path...

To a southerner some snow sounds really good right about now!

Ok it's supposed to be 85 and humid today. I'm already dying. I do not understand how you handle summers there. Seriously.

I don't have one? :hide My home is in the woods where everyone wants to go when things get rough and my bugout plan is in my Bible.

Same here - everyone would meet here at our place but if we have to Bugout from here we want to be prepared... I got the Bible in my heart already :)
