Up jumped spring I actually felt a little sweat bead roll down my forehead while tilling the garden. Sounds odd and all...
but I really enjoyed that little sweat bead.
Soil is cold and wet but I gave her a tilling anyways. Tilling should help it warm up and dry out some. My little 25'x50' spring / fall garden.
I'll try and till it again tomorrow (weather.permitting)
Nope... Not this year. Last year I had the whole entire spring/fall garden planted the middle of February though and was eating spinach and lettuce by this time. This year can't catch a break and nothing is planted at all
It's frustrating, isn't it? I wanted for nearly 3 years to have space for a garden, but the crazy weather and snow we had slowed things right down here. I haven't planted a single seed yet.
I do have some poultry netting that I am planning to use to section off the area around the shed for the hens, once I have it ready for them. I'm thinking of direct sowing my seeds and putting that netting over it, to keep them off it for now.
It's so wonderful that a storm spans the entire width of the central United States just in time for the weekend. But on the bright side... hey it's not ice/snow this time
