Some seriously amazing ways to prepare/cook food

@sumi what a fun video!! It'd be great to try some of those ideas with kids. I already sent it on to my kids. :)

Not sure if I missed this before - or forgot...:old But there are some seriously cool ideas! Next time the grands come we'll have to try some!

I watched -- some cute & simple things! THEN, clicked on others to right and saw some GREAT reminders, & new things, of how to grow things in containers, how to start your garlic in old water bottles! Onions, too. Some are such quick and wonderfully easy starts. Of course, you need dirt :D for most but, when you dump tubs of it (potatoes, etc.) it can be reused by adding some composted manures, etc., so not wasted $$. If done in your garden area, fills raised beds, etc. I'm thinking to "collect" all sorts of containers for next year.

Then there's straw bale gardens, lay the whole bag of dirt, cut slits & plant gardens. :p Gotta grow before you cook.

I will sometimes put a dampened paper towel into a brick hard bag of brown sugar. But, usually, I just pound it or chip off what I think is an appropriate amount!

If brown sugar gets hard, put a slice of bread in the container. It will soften it back up, sometimes within a day.

When I was using sugar, I just made up my own brown sugar whenever a recipe called for it. You just mix 2 to 4 Tbsp (depending on how dark you want it) molasses to a cup of sugar. Keep mixing it for a few minutes until suddenly it changes from weird lumpy white sugar to the brown sugar everyone is familiar with. Never had to worry about it getting hard that way.
