I assure you there are bad ABA programs and there are good ones. I have only (briefly) worked in one bad one. I primarily worked with nonverbal children. There are many abusive non-ABA programs as well.
In the midwest there seems to be more bad than good. I've not met one autistic person in the midwest who enjoyed ABA or even though it improved their life/social skills. There are many, MANY abusive non-ABA programs, but that wasn't my point.

No your point was that ABA is abusive. My former students and their parents would beg to differ.

ABA therapy is very controversial and many of my friends who went through it were heavily abused. Especially the ones who were prone to muteness under stress.

If we could have someone like you running and ABA program the world would be better.
My understanding is that ABA isn't appropriate for all kiddos. It seems like a good fit for DS14 who almost "passes" as neurotypical but needs to learn some specific relational skills to be able to get/keep a job.

Keeping on... I remind myself it's amazing what I can accomplish when I do a little bit every day.

I'm 2/3 done with writing contract. (also 2/3 of the way to the due date.)

I built a couple more webpages for 4-H website that will get published at the end of the month.

Still preparing collar and leash kits for a Make & Take seminar at the end of the month. I ordered some more supplies because we've had a steady trickle of kids signing up and I'm worried I might not have enough kits made up if I didn't order more.

I found cheap fanny packs that could work as treat pouches on aliexpress and ordered 10. Shipping is only a month, so if they're perfect we could order more before group classes start. They were $32 including shipping. Treat pouches made for dog training run $15 - $25 each. We committed to providing treat pouches for kids to use during classes so I was worried about not blowing the budget on this.

I couldn't find the type of tug toy I want, so I sewed 7 of them out of scraps. :D I will probably give them to kids as incentives or for kids who I know are using tug play rewards to train their dogs.

Wow that’s a fair amount! Yay so many lambs coming! I have 6, but only 4 are bred this year. Ones a yearling and they usually single their first time, so I likely expect 7 lambs. A lot less than you I guess! Lol
