Ive never dealt with hickory, just walnuts. I've been told the best method to remove the outer hull is make the kids do it.
Gravel driveway run over them several times. Odd as it sounds, it really does work. 😂

I don't think I worded the post correctly. I have no problem collecting them. It getting them out of the shells that's the problem. I probably have 20 trees each about 50-80 feet tall.
You're looking for a more efficient way than one at a time since you have so many? You would need an industrial type of nut cracking machine.
