@baymule I'm glad that the fire was able to be put out successfully and never reached the forest next to your house plus glad you and your property made it.
Thank you. I’m ok with losing everything, it’s just stuff. My concern was getting me and my animals out.
When I was 17, my apartment building caught on fire. My front door was burning and I had to go out the bedroom window. It kinda set my priorities for the rest of my life.

No I didn’t hose down around the house. My house sits about 16’ from the fence line, right next to tall pines and thick forest. If the fire had got in the forest, it would have been hard to save my house.

On my second cup of coffee, then I’m gonna move the truck and trailer, do chores and unload truck.
yes, that would have taken out the house for sure, thankful all is well

Good morning, having coffee and looking over the Azure web site. I WAS going to get fresh cherries and pit them but they are now out. They do have blueberries now so I'll get those.

I picked another bunch of green beans last evening and some tomatoes. I stir fried green beans in coconut oil to go with our oven roasted chicken , they were so good!
Its 50 out and a chance of rain.
laundry, watering, a tad of mowing (good greens for my chickens) and pulling up parsnips.

Sourdough starter is made, so I am looking forward to making 2 no-kneed sourdough loafs next week but in the mean time I'll make up some biscuits.
I have finally got the kitchen sink to stop dripping, plumbers puddy and clear calking. the nut that tightens up to the base of the sink is not budging, it is what it is and I am not buying a whole new sink. I will keep the little bucket under it just in case, but for now it is not dripping, :celebrate and I fixed the bath tup drain and repainted /touched up the front door and porch railing. I have a few boards that need replaced on the front steps and they need repainted.

:caf Have a great productive day!
